How long do we keep the information?
As a general rule, personal data will be processed for as long as the customer agreement for which we need the data is valid. We record the information in the register as we get it from the registered person and update it according to when the registered person informs the controller. We will remove unnecessary personal information from our customer and marketing records every six (6) months. You can opt out of our email marketing list yourself via the exit link in each of the marketing emails we send.

The right of inspection
You have the right to verify that we are storing personal information from you. If you find any information inaccurate or incomplete, you may ask us to correct or complete the information.
The right to oppose
You have the right to oppose the processing of your personal data at any time if you feel that we have unlawfully processed your personal data or that we have no right to process some of your personal data.
Direct marketing ban
You have the right to prohibit us from using your information for direct marketing at any time. We will never sell nor divulge your personal information to anyone else who have direct marketing purposes.
If you feel that processing some of the information about you is not necessary for our tasks, you have the right to ask us to delete that information. We will process your request, after which we will either delete your information or give you a reason for not deleting it. If you disagree with our decision, you have the right to appeal to the Data Protection Officer. You also have the right to request that we restrict the processing of disputed information until such time as it is resolved.

Regular sources of information
Information stored in the register can be obtained from the customer through messages sent via web forms, email, telephone, social media services, websites, contracts, customer meetings and other situations where a customer discloses information.
Disclosure of information
As a rule, we do not disclose information for marketing purposes outside Export Maker Oy.
Data can be transferred selectively commissioned by a third-party marketing campaign when you are actually given permission to do so. The ownership of the data is not transferred from the controller to a third party and the third party is not entitled to further use of the data.
We have made sure that all of our service providers comply with privacy laws. We regularly use the following service providers:

Transfer of data outside the EU
Information is not routinely disclosed to other parties. The information may be published to the agreed extent with the customer. Data may also be transferred by the controller outside of the EU or the EEA. Some of the above service providers may back up data outside of the EU / EEA to the US. The data is backed up to keep your data safe even when the main servers fail.
